Routemint · the deep dive

Pre-sell copy, in full. One creative per surface, three Hook templates, one CTA swap.

Stage 02 of the four-part Routemint framework, in depth. Three Hook templates — problem-agitate-solution, social-proof lead, math-led — each paired with a worked example from the Whop picks index, plus a side-by-side CTA swap from the raw Whop affiliate link to a Routemint-styled pre-sell.

Why pre-sell matters

One creative per surface, before the Whop link ever lands.

A Whop link without a pre-sell is plumbing, not a campaign. Each surface converts on a different angle — and the operator owns the routing ledger if the creative reads like a recommendation.

A single Whop link handed to a six-channel audience loses you 80% of the write-up per surface. Substack wants the why. X wants the proof. Discord wants the workflow. TikTok wants the hook. One routing-ledger per channel — and one pre-sell per surface — is the only way every click reads like an organic recommendation, and the only way you know which surface is converting before Whop’s dashboard tells you.

This chapter packages the creative logic: three Hook templates the operator leans on (problem-agitate-solution, social-proof lead, math-led), each with a worked example anchored to a real Whop pick from the index. The templates cover the three angles each surface converts on, so the router can write one pre-sell per channel and route the Whop link that fits the angle. The CTA swap table at the end of the chapter compares the raw Whop affiliate link — what you ship at minimum — against the Routemint-styled version — what you ship when the offer reads like a recommendation.

Pre-sell is stage 02 of four. Stage 01 (Selection Heuristics) decides which Whop rows clear the seven-point screen. Stage 03 (Tracking) decides which Whop URL its per-surface UTM lands at. Stage 04 (Tier-Stacking) layers the 30% product share onto the 30% seller-referral tier. The pre-sell chapter hands off into Stage 03 because pre-sell without per-channel tracking is a router that can’t audit its own routing — and the Whop dashboard only rewards the creative that converts on a tagged URL.

The three Hook templates

One creative per surface, three angles the router reaches for.

A pre-sell is whichever of the three Hook templates fits the surface, the Whop pick, and the cohort the operator is routing. Each tab below exposes the skeleton, the worked example, and the surface the operator drops it on.

Problem-agitate-solution

Name the buyer’s pain, agitate the cost of staying put, then route the Whop product as the relief.

Skeleton template

Right now you’re <agitate pain>. Every week that nothing changes, <cost of inaction>. <Whop product> is the shortcut — a Discord that ships <deliverable> so the next month looks different from the last.

Discord pre-sell

Crypto Calls Lounge

Three rotating alt-coin plays a week, a private Discord and a 90-day refund window — converting buyers already pay-monthly.

Right now you’re refreshing three Discords to find a single alt-coin pick worth sizing into. Every week that nothing changes, your wallet watches the same coins go nowhere. Crypto Calls Lounge is the shortcut — three rotating alpha plays a week, a private Discord and a 90-day refund window so the next month looks different from the last.

CTA swap

Raw Whop affiliate link vs. Routemint-styled CTA.

The Whop link never changes. What changes is the creative that wraps it. The compare below shows the four dimensions that move when the operator writes a Routemint-style pre-sell instead of dropping a "Buy on Whop" button.

What changes

Same Whop link, different surface voice — the four dimensions each pre-sell has to clear.

DimensionRaw Whop affiliate CTARoutemint-styled CTA
Surface voice"Buy on Whop" — a generic button with no signal that the router knows the audience.A one-paragraph pre-sell in the operator’s voice — what the Discord delivers, why this cohort renews, and why the buyer overlaps the audience the operator already owns.
Audience-fit rationaleNo fit story. The visitor lands on Whop and has to decide for themselves whether the product fits.A one-paragraph surface-fit note before the link — what the Discord delivers, why this cohort renews, and why the buyer overlaps the audience the operator already owns.
Refund & risk postureNo mention of the 90-day refund window or the <5% refund rate the row clears.A short risk note — refund rate under 5%, 30-day window on the right picks, and the cohort math that backs the recurring share — so the click converts the buyer who would otherwise bounce.
Per-channel routing ledgerOne Whop URL, no UTM. The platform cannot tell Substack from X from Discord when the conversion lands. One Whop URL per channel (Substack, X, Discord, TikTok) — distinct per surface — so the routing ledger stays consistent with the playbook's "one per surface" rule.

Pick the next step

From the pre-sell into the routing ledger.

A pre-sell that clears the three Hook templates graduates into tracking — one per-surface UTM, one routing ledger, one Whop dashboard reading the conversion on a per-surface basis. The Whop picks index hosts the rows this chapter scores against, and the tracking chapter stages the per-channel URL stack that gives the pre-sell its tag.
